The YIMO envisions to empower young seafarers, fishers, shipbuilders, marine scientists and other maritime professionals to join in steering the helm for our shared future

- Share the power to shape the future of
shipping through meaningful youth
engagement across the board until onboard; - Develop leaders able to represent the youth in maritime in forums, policy discussions, seminars and roundtables, nationally, regionally, and internationally;
- Facilitate peer-to-peer learning and collaborations among young seafarers, fishers, shipbuilders, scientists and other maritime professionals;
- Engage the industry stakeholders and the general public with the end goal of attracting and retaining talents within the industry.
